  • Are there any fees to use Temps On Tap?
    The Temps On Tap App is free to download and use for all Dental Offices. Placement fees will only be charged after a shift has been completed by a Temp, which can be paid securely in the App with a credit card via Stripe.
  • How are Dental Professionals who use Temps On Tap screened?
    As each Dental Professional creates an account, they will be asked to complete a work history screening form in the App. Temps On Tap admin will assess their screening form and check with the BC College of Oral Health Professionals, if applicable, to confirm active registration. Government issued photo ID or their BC College of Oral Health Professionals registration card (for applicable workers) is also required to confirm their identity.
  • How is the hourly rate decided?
    Offices have a section in the job posting to add rate expectation. Once a Temp has been selected, rates may be discussed before the shift via the chat on the App.
  • How do I pay the Dental Professional?
    Dental Professionals and Offices are able to discuss payment options and preferences directly via chat. Timesheets must be completed in the App by the Temp and confirmed by the Office to ensure the correct hours worked are easily accessible.
  • What if I need to cancel a confirmed shift?
    If the cancellation is less than 48 hours' notice, a short notice cancellation fee will be applied. If the cancellation is less than 24 hour's notice, a short notice cancellation fee and worker fee will be applied, which will go towards the worker to make up for lost wages.
  • What if a Temp cancels a confirmed shift?
    You will automatically be notified, and the job will be reposted to the calendar and job map. Push notifications will also be sent to available workers in your area. We want to ensure Dental Professionals who use Temps On Tap are dedicated and reliable. If it is a recurring issue, they will be suspended or removed from the App.
  • What if a Temp does not show up for a shift?
    In the rare occurrence that this happens, please notify us by email info@tempsontap.com so appropriate measures can be taken. You may repost the shift on the app to notify other workers so it is possible to get some coverage. No placement fee will be charged.
  • Will ratings show up on my profile?
    Ratings will show up on all profile types after 3-4 completed shifts and can be anonymous if the user so chooses. Temps On Tap strives to ensure there are professional, reliable Dental Offices using the App. Any users with a rating lower than 3 will be removed from the platform.
  • Can a Temp be hired for a permanent position?
    If you have found your perfect match, Temps On Tap must be notified. We offer competitive permanent placement options for Dental Offices. Email info@tempsontap.com with the Office name, the Temp's name, whether it is PT/FT, and start date.
